MacOSX 10.9 "Mavericks

Apple has rivaled with Microsoft since the first personal computers hit the market. Since 1984, Apple has released many operating systems to battle the operating systems of Microsoft in the market. When Microsoft released its newest operating system in 2012, Apple has also created its own latest addition. Apple only made a few improvements in its newest release which is MacOS X 10.9 “Mavericks”. As usual, elegance is a real knockout. It still has the look and feel that MacOS X operating systems has been known to possess. To cut it short, it seems very similar with its predecessor, MacOS X 10.9. No great difference can really be noticed except with the calendar and notes. Many reviews favor MacOS when it comes to elegance, many also disagree. With this new operating system, it seems that Apple is trying to combine the mobility of iOS and the elegance of MacOS X. This means that Apple is trying to create an operating system with elegance and mobility.

When it comes to gaming and software availability, many applications for MacOS X could be found in Apple’s Mac Apps Store. Gaming in MacOS X is not as popular as in windows. Even so, a handful of great games could still be download from Apple’s Mac App Store. With regards to customizability, there was time when MacOS operating systems were customizable. However, as time passed, customizing MacOS operating systems isn’t like customizing any windows operating system. Wallpapers could be changed and a few tweaks and changes in icons could be made. However, the bottom line is that MacOS X operating systems will have no distinction from the other. When talking about performance, MacOS could not be disregarded because of the benchmarks it has earned. Sill, when it comes to reality, there is a big probability that MacOS is still prone to system lags and delays. Even with Apple’s advanced hardware, many users still claim that MacOS sometimes tend to take some time in loading applications. Proceeding to availability, it is undeniable that windows overpowers other operating systems. One reason why MacOS can’t cope up with windows is because it only runs on Apple hardware. On the other hand, this hinders some users who want to try MacOS but can’t afford to but Apple computers. Another reason may be because Apple added an artificial intelligence restriction on MacOS which prohibits it from running on virtual machines. To conclude, at this point of time, Apple’s MacOS X is still struggling to please many users.
